Agri-Cycle is New England's largest and fastest-growing food waste collection company. We partner with businesses, institutions, and communities across the region to divert organic material from landfills and turn it into renewable energy, high-quality compost, and animal feed.

Requirements:

Position Overview

As the Sales Executive for Maine/NH, you will spend your time prospecting new business across the state and most of your time will be spent in the field. Your daily activities consist of, making cold calls to introduce our service, drop-ins to share and educate, walkthroughs, and follow-up, all inside one territory that belongs to you.

You will sell across our full-service menu to restaurants, cafes, grocery, hotels, schools, hospitals, and institutional kitchens, from a single tote up to large-volume accounts. You will be provided a lead list, clear outreach expectations, training, and be a part of a collaborative team who oversee other regions with similar responsibilities. What we need from you is activity, a willingness to learn and be coached, and passion and motivation to knock on doors and pick up the phone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prospect daily. Cold calls, emails, and in-person drop-ins against a targeted Maine lead list.

• Log every lead, activity, and deal in HubSpot and keep your pipeline stages honest.

• Follow designated outreach expectations.

• Quote, close, and hand off cleanly to operations for a smooth start.

• Represent Agri-Cycle locally at trade groups, community events, and tabling opportunities.

• Carry an annual sales quota, ramped in your first year.

Required Qualifications:

• A hunter's mentality. You are comfortable making the first call, walking into a business unannounced, and effective ability to navigate objections.

• 1+ years in sales, customer-facing service, or a role where you had to earn traction for a sale from a stranger. We will teach you the industry.

• 1-2 years of experience working with a CRM like HubSpot or similar. 

• Highly organized; you genuinely love tracking dates on your calendar, keeping tasks organized by priority and date.

• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to be in the field most days.

• Based in Maine.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in waste, environmental services, food service, food distribution, or facilities.

• Existing relationships in Maine grocery, restaurants, hospitality, healthcare, education, or municipal government.

• Comfort presenting to business owners, general managers, and facility managers.
