Job Summary:
Bayer is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Medical Content Lead Cardiovascular and Renal (CVR) to lead scientific content strategy and development across cardiovascular, renal, heart failure, diabetes, and metabolic disease. This role will partner with Medical Affairs leadership to translate therapeutic area strategies into scientifically accurate, evidence-based, and compliant medical content. The ideal candidate will have strong therapeutic expertise, pharmaceutical or biotechnology medical communications agency experience, and a proven track record of leading complex scientific content initiatives.

Job Description:

• Lead scientific content strategy and development across cardiovascular, renal, heart failure, diabetes, and metabolic disease therapeutic areas.

• Partner with Therapeutic Area Medical Leads to translate Medical Affairs objectives into strategic content plans and deliverables.

• Oversee the development of scientific slide decks, advisory board materials, speaker training, congress content, medical education resources, digital assets, and field medical tools.

• Provide scientific direction, mentorship, and guidance to Content Managers and medical content contributors.

• Interpret clinical trial data, scientific publications, treatment guidelines, and clinical evidence to develop clear, evidence-based medical content.

• Ensure scientific accuracy, consistency, compliance, proper referencing, and audit readiness across all deliverables.

• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Publications, Legal/Regulatory, Project Management, and Operations teams to resolve content challenges and support timely execution.

• Drive process improvements through standardized workflows, content reuse, and AI-enabled approaches with appropriate human oversight.

• Support KOL engagement, field medical initiatives, and continuous improvement in scientific content quality.

Job Requirements:

• PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience. Candidates with a Master's degree and 7+ years or a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience may also be considered.

• Recent, hands-on expertise in one or more relevant therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease (CKD), heart failure, diabetes, or metabolic disease.

• Proven experience supporting pharmaceutical or biotechnology clients in a medical communications agency environment.

• Demonstrated ownership of Medical Affairs content strategy and scientific messaging, beyond content writing or review alone.

• Strong experience developing advisory board materials, speaker training, congress content, medical education resources, publications, and field medical content.

• Excellent scientific storytelling, evidence synthesis, clinical data interpretation, and critical-thinking skills.

• Ability to guide content contributors, influence senior stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

• Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently with geographically dispersed teams and travel occasionally as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with clinical outcomes trials, treatment guidelines, and congress data in heart failure, CKD, diabetes, and metabolic disease.

• Familiarity with Veeva Vault, Content Factory, CRM platforms, or similar content management systems.

• Experience supporting KOL engagement and field medical teams.
