About the Position

Urgent Care Physician

Location: Georgia

Schedule: Per diem coverage. Provider must be able to work a minimum of 6 to 8 shifts per month. 8 or 12 hour shifts may be available based on clinic needs.

Position Overview

• Provide urgent care coverage in a clinic setting.
• Typical services include testing, X rays, suturing, 12 lead EKG interpretation, and physicals.
• Patient ages referenced as 2 and older.
• Typical volume referenced as up to 4 patients per hour.
• Charting system: Experity (Velocidoc).

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO.
• Board certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine with pediatric capability as required by the clinic.
• Recent urgent care experience within the past year as referenced.
• Active Georgia medical license.
• DEA as required.
• Ability to read and interpret X rays as required by the clinic.
• Clean background and NPDB self query may be required for onboarding.
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Onboarding timeline referenced as about 1 to 2 weeks plus an in person shadow shift.
• EMR training and clinic orientation are required prior to first shift.

• Travel and lodging support may be available based on scheduling and distance.
