Work Schedule: Rotating Shift (6:00 am to 6:30 pm), full-time Location: Covington The following examples are intended only as illustrations of the types of work performed in this position. No attempt is made to be exhaustive; related, similar, or other logical duties may be assigned. What You’ll Do Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established care protocols. Take and record vital signs, observations, and related documentation. Provide wound care, including dressing wounds and applying compresses and ice bags. Support catheterizations and catheter care while following safety and infection-control standards. Prepare equipment and assist the physician during treatment and examinations. Assist with rehabilitation efforts and support clients in achieving care goals. Complete and maintain accurate charting and records on each client. Request and coordinate lab work as needed and in accordance with care plans. Carry out physician orders and communicate updates to the nursing team. Requisition medications, supplies, and other necessary resources. Provide direct care to clients when needed and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety. Assist in developing and supporting patient/client care plans. Administer decubiti (pressure injury) care following facility procedures. Check supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for daily care needs. Perform other duties as directed. Requirements Valid Louisiana License or a Multi-State License recognized by the State of Louisiana as an LPN. 2 years’ experience in an ICF/IDD setting preferred.
