Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our clinical team and provide high-quality care to patients in our Rural Health Clinics, primarily located in Covington, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be passionate about rural healthcare and committed to building long‑term relationships with patients while delivering comprehensive, evidence‑based primary care. Job Type Full‑time Work Schedule Four (4) 10‑hour days per week No on‑call requirements Responsibilities Obtain complete health histories and perform thorough physical examinations. Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans, including preventive care and health maintenance strategies. Manage acute and chronic illnesses for patients across the lifespan. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state laws and clinical best practices. Coordinate care with specialists, ancillary providers, and community resources as needed. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical team meetings. Provide mentorship and guidance to medical staff and participate in the orientation of new clinical providers. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med‑Peds (Board certification required within 3 years of hire if eligible). Current Virginia medical license or eligibility for licensure. Current DEA certification. Current BLS certification (required). Current ACLS and PALS certifications (required but may be obtained upon hire). Must be insurable for malpractice coverage.
