Job Details

• Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Locum Tenens
• Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22401
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks with potential for ongoing CRNA coverage
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $4,530 - $5,280
• Schedule: On-call anesthesia coverage including night call from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, plus weekend day beeper call from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays
• Coverage Needs: Flexible PRN CRNA coverage opportunities available
• Case Mix: Broad anesthesia coverage across multiple specialties and surgical services

Job Requirements

• Current CRNA certification required
• Board certification required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ABLS certifications required
• Experience with general anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, and regional anesthesia
• Strong skills in adult anesthesia and pediatric anesthesia
• Experience with trauma, neurosurgical, obstetrical, thoracic, complex vascular, and complex orthopedic cases
• Ability to manage ventilation, acute volume and blood pressure issues, central line placement, and PA catheter placement
• Comfortable supporting a busy, team-based anesthesia environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective anesthesia care across a wide range of surgical cases
• Perform general, spinal, epidural, regional, and pain management techniques as needed
• Support obstetrical, pediatric, neurosurgical, thoracic, vascular, and orthopedic procedures
• Manage airway, ventilation, and hemodynamic concerns throughout the perioperative period
• Place central lines and assist with PA catheter placement when indicated
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams
• Deliver high-quality anesthesia care during call coverage and weekend coverage blocks
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach in every case
