Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Roanoke, Virginia. Within this collaborative environment, you will work alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapy assistants, and occupational therapists. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Designing individualized treatment plans aiming to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and enhance muscle function in patients, ensuring these align with their specific capabilities and overall care objectives.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities using diagnostic assessments to tailor therapy strategies effectively.
• Overseeing the implementation of care plans by physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to protocols and promoting the highest standards of patient care.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, observing any changes in condition, and reporting findings to multidisciplinary teams, including case managers and physicians.
• Providing hands-on therapy, including administering manual therapeutic exercises and applying modalities such as traction and massage.
• Fitting, adjusting, and recommending orthotic and prosthetic devices based on individual patient assessments.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively devise holistic care strategies for each patient.
• Educating patients and their families about home therapy plans, including the proper use and maintenance of therapeutic devices.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Virginia, maintaining good standing.
• CPR certification, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
• Passion for patient care with a strong commitment to clinical excellence and quality.
• Excellent communication skills, with talent in engaging and educating both patients and their families.
• A proactive approach to decision-making, complemented by the ability to handle challenging situations with integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following are preferred to enhance your candidacy:

• Experience as a Physical Therapist in either acute care or home care settings for at least one year.
• Proficiency in the latest physical therapy tools and methodologies.
• Experience working within federal, state, and governing regulations related to physical therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative team as well as independently.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
