Mainframe Engineer

Overview Hybrid; onsite 2 days/week in Brooklyn Park, MN 1+ year contract Base pay range $45.00/hr - $75.00/hr At this time, we are unable to consider candidates requiring visa sponsorship or third-party recruitment agencies for this role. We thank you for your understanding. As a Mid-Level Contract Engineer, you will work in the engineering team that supports a technology product. You show expertise in applying the appropriate software development and operation skills to maintain, build, and support our applications using your software engineering skills. This includes analysis gathering, design, development testing and implementation of solutions. You are an expert in programming and apply your skills in developing the product. You show good problem-solving skills and can help the team in triaging operational issues. You leverage your expertise in eliminating repeat occurrences. This role does require rotating on-call support of product as users work on applications 24x7. Responsibilities Collaborate with the engineering team to maintain, build, and support applications using software engineering skills. Analyze requirements, design, develop, test, and implement solutions. Develop expert programming solutions and contribute to product development. Triages operational issues and helps eliminate repeat occurrences. Provide on-call support for product operations on a rotating basis. Maintain technical documentation for assigned areas.
