Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: 11/09/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,095.00 to $2,293.00 per week. Shift: Nights, 12-hour blocks (3x12 nights). This role provides direct nursing care in the ER, including triage, treatment, and discharge planning for patients from newborns to geriatrics, with CNA support as part of the care team.

Responsibilities
- Perform triage and initial patient assessments in the ER, prioritizing care based on acuity.
- Monitor vital signs, initiate appropriate interventions, and administer medications as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and other team members to deliver timely, quality patient care.
- Provide discharge planning and patient/caregiver education, ensuring understanding of treatment plans.
- Document care activities accurately and maintain up-to-date patient records.
- Adapt to a fast-paced emergency care setting, with attention to safety, infection control, and patient comfort.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license to practice in California (or eligibility to obtain licensure)
- ER/ED nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a 3x12 schedule
- U.S. work authorization
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
