GI Oncology RN - Day Shift with Sign-On Bonus

Job Description Inova Schar Cancer Institute’s Fairfax location is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Gastrointestinal cancer clinic. The position is full‑time day shift Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm. No weekends, holidays, or on‑call duties. Sign On Bonus and Relocation Assistance are available for qualified external applicants. Clinic Overview The Great Falls Clinic (5S), located within the newly built Inova Schar Cancer Institute, is an outpatient physician clinic that collaborates closely with board‑certified medical and surgery oncologists and advanced practitioners to manage GI and GU cancers. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination, ensuring safe and therapeutic care in a holistic, systematic, and patient/family‑centered manner. The RN integrates knowledge, skills, and experience to meet patients’ and families’ needs throughout the continuum, including education. They communicate effectively, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and determine care processes using direct patient communication, technology, and teamwork. Minimum Qualifications At least 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). If ADN, complete BSN within 5 years of start date. BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association. Current RN license in Virginia. Proficiency in English with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; proficient computer skills. Preferred Qualifications Oncology experience. 3–5 years of RN experience.
