About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Asset Management to provide strategic, financial, and operational oversight of a significant portfolio of affordable housing and multifamily assets. The successful candidate will be the lead owner's representative, responsible for safeguarding asset value and ensuring performance meets occupancy, revenue, expense, and NOI targets. This role requires a strong institutional, owner-oriented mindset and the ability to lead a team, mentor staff, and enforce performance standards. Key responsibilities include overseeing annual operating budgets, monitoring portfolio KPIs, developing annual asset plans, and preparing investor-ready reporting packages. The AVP will also be involved in capital planning, maintaining regulatory standing, and supporting various real estate transactions. Applicants for the Assistant Vice President position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and 7-10+ years of experience in asset management, particularly in affordable housing, multifamily, or institutional real estate. Advanced Excel skills, a strong understanding of financial and operating statements, and deep knowledge of LIHTC structures and compliance are essential. The role also requires experience in overseeing third-party property management, familiarity with institutional ownership structures, and excellent communication skills for producing executive-level deliverables. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing action plans for underperforming assets and supporting various real estate financial activities.
