Production Worker - General

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent OR at least six months of related experience/training Ability to read a tape measure Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move up to 50 lbs. Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing is desired but not required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform all manual labor in the assigned area Keep area neat and clean Read and use a tape measure Read blueprints and orders Communicate well with coworkers Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools Other duties may be assigned Work Schedule Typical schedule: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday‑Friday. Schedule may vary depending on production needs and overtime. Occasional scheduling changes may be required. Education and/or Experience One‑year certificate from college or technical school; or 6‑12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Competencies Strong work ethic Willing to arrive on time, per scheduled shift daily Ability to work quickly and methodically Understands and follows safety procedures Good teamwork skills Lives by the Champion Operating Principles Physical Demands The employee must regularly stand, use hands and fingers to grip and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs and occasionally more than 100 lbs. Requires vision: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
