Radiologic Technologist Cardiac and Vascular
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 Contract Weeks: 16
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience; Preferred Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification; Preferred
- Radiologic Tech (RT) certification in the state of practice; Required
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Required
- At least two years of recent experience in the field; Required
- Experience in Cath Lab or Special Procedures; Preferred
Responsibilities:
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during procedures.
- Position and instruct patients for examinations, ensuring adherence to specified protocols.
- Assist physicians with specialized procedures and enter technical factors into imaging systems.
- Start automatic injection of contrast medium and activate imaging equipment during procedures.
- Monitor and control the environment during imaging, alerting physicians to changes in patient responses.
- Provide patients with procedure explanations and discharge instructions.
Compliance / Notes: On-call required (6-7 days a month including a weekend); CRT and Fluoroscopy certification required.
