Responsibilities: Assist the business goals of the insurance agency with mutually agreed upon expectations. Interns will work with leadership to build a personal business plan and gain mentorship in agency operations, sales strategy, and entrepreneurial development. Make outbound sales calls to prospects and customers to generate quotes and close business. Your sales directly contribute to earning commission and bonus income. Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification. Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options. Use exemplary communication to efficiently meet the needs of customers while promoting the development of our business. Qualifications: Self-starter who is interested in a business development track and eager to learn what is takes to build and grow a successful agency. Coursework or expressed interest in areas such as Insurance, Financial Services, Real Estate, Marketing, etc. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as operate independently Effective customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create, build, and maintain relationships with internal and external parties Strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail Compensation: $1,500.00 - $3,000.00 per month State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees.
