Accountant III

Public Service Loan Forgiveness: We participate in this program to support your financial future. Examples of Duties Reconciling accounts for three divisions. Assisting with budget preparation and maintenance. Reviewing and verifying financial documentation for compliance. Monitoring cash flow and requesting funds as needed. Supporting development and implementation of automated financial systems. Provide support to Accountants I and II. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting At least two years of related work experience Current in payment of personal and/or real property taxes. Preference May Be Given To Applications As Follows Working knowledge and understanding of governmental accounting. Selection and Appointment A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant, including education, experience, references, and other appropriate information. Candidates must obtain a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview to be eligible for appointment. The top five candidates will be certified to the Department Director/Appointing Authority for final decision.
