Material Handler

Pay: $22.50 / hour

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Description:

Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using computer systems.
Pack and unpack items for stocking on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Pick orders for shipping and local deliveries.
Deliver orders to nearby customers.
Verify inventory computations and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses.
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
Clean and maintain supplies, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
Work in a manner that prioritizes safety for self, co-workers, customers, and products.
Interact with customers on orders, shipping, and deliveries.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Computer literacy and basic knowledge of email and Microsoft Office products.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety rules and guidelines in a warehouse environment.
Drug test and background check required.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to work independently and in a group environment.
Flexibility and ability to multitask based on workflow demands.
Experience in shipping and receiving.
Knowledge of online shipping is a plus.
Loading and unloading experience.
Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
Proficient with computers.
