Accounting Bookkeeper

Job Summary: The Accountant/Bookkeeper is responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping, as well as monthly and quarterly reconciliations for accounts. To succeed in this role, you must be a reliable and self-motivated professional with excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities: Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process. Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger. Bring the books to the trial balance stage. Enter data, maintain records and financial statements. Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner. Supply needed financial reports to the person in charge. Perform journal entries, maintain detailed ledger records. Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences. Establish records of accounts and input entries into the appropriate accounts. Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity. Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential. Prepare accounting records, including financial statements, or other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Control expenses and other accounting information. Provide outstanding customer service. Qualifications: A minimum of 3-5 years of Accounting Experience. A minimum of 2 years proven experience with TOPS. MS Office, Outlook, and Proficient in Excel. High level of organization and attention to detail. Professionalism. Compensation and Benefits: Salary: 50k to 55k per year based on qualifications and experience. Vacation (1 week vacation after the 1st year; 2 weeks after the 3rd year). We also close early or full day closures around the big holidays as extra days off that are paid.
