Project Engineer I

The Project Engineer I is responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments using the Product Development Process (PDP) as a guide to achieve project objectives for New Product Development projects. Responsible for product maintenance, cost improvement, quality improvement and similar projects. Directs and coordinates a project team in the planning, organization, implementation, and completion of engineering project assignments.

This position will support Rheem North America, located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Resource Allocation: Lead and manage engineering projects, including project planning and resource allocation; Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and goals.

Detailed Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans that include a comprehensive list of scope, deliverables, schedules, and budgets; Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.

Team Coordination: Coordinate and oversee the work of project team members; Delegate tasks based on individual skill sets and abilities to ensure efficient project completion.

Progress Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and clients; Keep track of all site safety and legal requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is typically required.

Field and project planning experience.

A valid engineering license is beneficial.

Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.

Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.

Strong project management and supervision skills.
