Insurance Operations Analyst

Location: Seattle, WA

Assignment Length: 6–12 months

Work Schedule: Onsite 5 days per week

Pay Rate: $30–$35 per hour

Role Overview

The Insurance Operations Analyst will support e-commerce insurance operations, merchant partnerships, campaign execution, and operational reporting. This role combines data analysis, merchant coordination, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on improving campaign performance, operational efficiency, and customer trust.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution of insurance marketing campaigns across TikTok and other e-commerce platforms.
• Coordinate campaign implementation, track performance, and maintain accurate execution records.
• Assist with onboarding and coordinating platform merchants, partner merchants, and brand vendors.
• Communicate insurance partnership requirements, campaign processes, and operational updates to merchant partners.
• Maintain regular contact with merchant partners, collect operational questions and business needs, and escalate issues to the appropriate internal teams.
• Organize partnership materials, maintain progress trackers, and ensure merchant records remain accurate and current.
• Analyze operating metrics, including adoption rate, claim rate, penetration rate, claim resolution time, customer trust, conversion, and seller retention.
• Identify potential causes behind changes in business metrics and recommend operational improvements based on the data.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports covering insurance operations, merchant partnerships, campaign conversion, and related business metrics.
• Perform data verification, entry, aggregation, and ongoing maintenance of operational records and reporting templates.
• Investigate data discrepancies and ensure reporting is accurate, organized, and traceable.
• Collaborate with product, business, operations, data, and merchant-facing teams to implement operational changes.
• Track the impact of operational changes on merchant efficiency, customer trust, campaign performance, and conversion.
• Support dashboard and business intelligence reporting for recurring operational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• One to three years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business questions into structured analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel and foundational data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external merchant partners.
• Excellent attention to detail when handling data, reporting, process documentation, and operational records.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in insurance, e-commerce, fintech, InsurTech, trust and safety, or platform operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL or the ability to learn SQL quickly is preferred.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or a similar business intelligence tool is a plus.
• Exposure to A/B testing, statistical concepts, user research, competitive analysis, or merchant-side business analysis is a plus.
