Plasma Center Nurse - RN

Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under guidance of the Center Physician and Medical Affairs. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, educational screening, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of laboratory results (Serological Protein Electrophoresis). Manage donor adverse events and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing standing orders and arranging transport to emergency care facilities. Refer unacceptable findings to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance. Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats. Provide center‑level environmental, health and safety support. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate–level recognized nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified RN, NP, or PA in the state of assignment. Current CPR and AED certification. State‑required basic IV therapy competency. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of clinical or hospital experience.
