Machine Maintenance Technician

[About the Role]
Join our team as a Machine Maintenance Technician in Sugar Land, TX, and play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our equipment and facilities. This hands-on position offers you the opportunity to leverage your mechanical expertise and develop specialized skills in a collaborative, safety-focused shop environment. Work Monday through Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm, with occasional Saturdays.

[Responsibilities]

- Perform thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, conveyor systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure optimal operation.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues quickly to reduce downtime and support continuous production.
- Accurately manage digital work orders, logging parts used and time spent in our maintenance tracking system.
- Rigorously uphold safety standards by following OSHA, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures at all times.
- (If qualified) Troubleshoot electrical components such as motors, control panels, circuit breakers, and read wiring diagrams to resolve faults.
- (If qualified) Fabricate and repair metal structures using MIG, TIG, or Stick welding and operate shop equipment like grinders, torches, and plasma cutters.

[Required Skills and Experience]

- 2-5 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or commercial facility maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and power tools.
- Proven ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods.

[Preferred Skills]

- Electrical certification or verifiable hands-on experience troubleshooting low-to-medium voltage electrical systems.
- Welding certification (AWS) or demonstrated ability in structural welding and metal fabrication.
