Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Student Rad Tech, you will gain hands-on experience, supporting diagnostic imaging to aid accurate patient diagnosis. Every day, you will assist in performing various imaging examinations (X-rays, CT, MRI), learning patient positioning, and contributing to positive patient experiences under supervision. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn, attention to detail, excellent communication, and a foundational understanding of imaging principles, committed to mastering workflow and image quality. Performs limited diagnostic radiographic procedures. Radiographic procedures must not include CT, the use of contrast media, and mammographic equipment. Performs and ensures safe, knowledgeable age-specific patient care in a holistic manner. Provides patient education and responds to patient and customer concerns. Completes documentation of patient x-ray record and Quality Control processes. Performs value-added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
