Responsibilities

• Support the successful delivery of electrical construction projects from kickoff through closeout.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project progress.
• Act as a key link between the field and office, resolving issues swiftly and maintaining tight communication.
• Track job progress, productivity, and performance against budget and schedule.
• Maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract documentation.
• Monitor procurement, material deliveries, and equipment usage.
• Assist with cost tracking, billing, and financial reporting to ensure projects remain on track financially.
• Identify scope changes and support pricing, documentation, and client submission.
• Assist with budget vs. actual reporting, commitments, and cost forecasting.
• Prepare meeting notes, project updates, and internal/external communications.
• Help build and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress and identifying potential risks.
• Support a strong safety-first culture across all projects.
• Ensure work aligns with quality standards, contract documents, and company expectations.
• Foster professional relationships with clients, vendors, and field teams.
• Support a team-oriented environment focused on accountability, execution, and results.
• Assist with turnover documentation, as-builts, and closeout packages.
• Maintain accurate logs and final project records.

Essential Skills

• 23 years of experience in construction project support or coordination.
• Strong preference for experience in electrical construction.
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on field/project experience.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skillsclear, direct, and professional.
• Solid understanding of construction workflows, scheduling, and cost tracking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plus.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and take initiative.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Field experience (foreman or similar role) is a plus.
• Substation Construction management is preferred.
• Utility experience is preferred.
• 3-5 years of electrical construction experience.
• Experience with RFIs, Change Orders, and Submittals.
• Project document control, purchase order, and billing management.

Work Environment

The position is based at the headquarters in Farmington, CT, with working hours from 8am to 5pm. The role involves working in the office five days a week with occasional site visits to substation projects. A laptop, cell phone, and personal desk will be provided. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and wearing PPE as necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Hartford, CT.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in West Hartford,CT.
