Warehouse Assistant

The Warehouse Assistant will support the Warehouse Manager and assist with daily warehouse operations. This is a hands-on position for an individual who is dependable and hardworking and who can work independently, take initiative, and help maintain efficient warehouse operations.

Essential functions include pulling, packaging, and loading customer orders accurately; assisting with all warehouse operations and inventory management; operating forklifts safely and efficiently; receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory; using barcode systems for inventory tracking; making local deliveries as needed; assisting customers with will-call pickups; maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment; troubleshooting warehouse issues and identifying solutions; supporting and providing backup coverage for the Warehouse Manager; helping direct daily warehouse activities when needed; and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, prior warehouse experience required, prior forklift experience required, prior leadership or training experience preferred, ability to lift and move plastic materials up to 50 lbs, consistent attendance, punctuality, and dependability, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, maintaining a positive attitude, working collaboratively with others, ability to work in various weather conditions with varying temperatures, and the ability to drive for company business.
