Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (RN)The Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency care, particularly in pediatric cases, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.Assist with triage and patient assessments, ensuring timely and effective care.Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with policies.Float to other units as necessary to meet patient care needs.Unit SpecificsUnit composed of 64 beds, including areas for acute care, triage, trauma, and psych.Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.Knowledge of specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun is beneficial.QualificationsA minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, with pediatric experience preferred.Current certifications in AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC are mandatory.Valid nursing license with active NY state registration.Recent travel nursing experience is preferred.Shift InformationFull-time position available with shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM.
