Direct Care Worker / Caregiver (Female) – Full-Time
Position: Full-Time Female Caregiver
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and attentive Female Caregiver to support a mobile and mostly independent female client who loves participating in community activities. The caregiver will primarily provide transportation, companionship, and supervision to help ensure the client's safety and balance during outings.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport the client safely to community activities, appointments, and outings.
- Provide companionship and encourage community participation.
- Stay attentive to the client's balance and provide support when needed to help prevent falls.
- Assist with activities or tasks when necessary while promoting independence.
- Follow safety procedures and complete required care documentation.
Requirements
- Female caregiver preferred based on client preference.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.
- Comfortable driving the client to community activities and appointments.
- Attentive to mobility and fall prevention, especially when walking or navigating uneven surfaces.
- Patient, dependable, and comfortable supporting an independent client.
- Ability to pass a criminal background screening.
- Current CPR & First Aid certification.
- Updated TB screening and medical clearance.
- Must obtain all required CMH certifications within 30 days of hire .
Desired Experience
- Previous caregiving, home care, or direct care experience preferred.
- Experience assisting individuals with mobility or balance concerns is a plus.
- Strong communication, patience, and situational awareness.
