Assists in maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure maximum equipment reliability. Support continuous improvement activities within the facility. See that planned work is completed in accordance to safety rules, policy, and procedures by plant employees and contractors, as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Assists in the training of maintenance personnel in the use of programmable controllers and electrical systems. Coordinates all facility repairs with the Maintenance Supervisor. Loads and unloads palletized racking. Performs weekly and monthly inspection of fire suppression system including fire pump, maintenance of fire system, ensures good condition of fire extinguishers and fire egress signs/lights. Coordinate with outside contractors to complete maintenance tasks, complete work permits and complete contractor safety training prior to beginning repair tasks, as directed by Maintenance Supervisor. Maintains good mechanical condition of floor scrubbers and cleaners. Directs snow removal and maintenance of exterior facility conditions as necessary, as directed by Maintenance Supervisor. Will abide by all Federal, State, and Local requirements related to generating and disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste material. Must be able to operate a scissor lift, sit down forklift, reach truck, and cherry picker. Participate in annual RCRA training. Participate in Lock Out Tag Out Training. May be required to assist in training. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to interact with a wide variety of people. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines. Minimum 4 years of related experience. Proficient in ability to read a variety of instructions including written, oral diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work indoors or outdoors in a wide variety of weather conditions and temperatures. Proficiency with MS Office software. Demonstrated ability in solving technical problems related to production processes. Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with employees. Qualifications Desired: Experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance repair of machinery and equipment. Strong analytical, innovative and strategic competencies.
