The role focuses on technical support for the assessment of electrical equipment at water, wastewater, substations, and power facilities, and providing electrical and control technical support and estimating support as needed. The Team Part of the Infrastructure Advisory Business, this position supports inspection and evaluation of electrical assets within diverse facility environments to provide asset management and performance optimization support to a wide variety of utility and engineering projects. Key Responsibilities Develop onsite inspection plans to assess electrical equipment such as transformers, MCCs, generators, and rotating mechanical equipment. Perform deenergized tests such as vibration and thermography. Provide technical support and oversight for third‑party contractors performing energized assessment work. Review and evaluate electrical test results and prepare technical reports articulating repair, replacement, and maintenance recommendations. Plan and manage field‑based asset inspection and performance evaluations of water, wastewater, power, and other utility facilities safely. Manage the structuring, storage, and utilization of diverse data and asset information. Analyze reliability, functionality, and maintainability (asset performance) and condition, communicating observations and results in professional quality reports. Assist with the execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs and support maintenance plan development. Develop reports, presentations, and technical memorandums. Work directly with clients and support project teams in meetings and workshops. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. 5–7 years of electrical design or testing experience; knowledge of FERC, IEEE, and NEC standards. Knowledge of electrical assessment planning, field inspections, selection and deployment of inspection technologies, interpretation of field data, and rehabilitation/replacement recommendations and technologies. Strong theoretical knowledge of electrical principles and ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience. 4+ years of experience in a business/consulting environment. Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search) in compliance with applicable laws. Certifications Certifications related to area of expertise, where applicable, preferred. Work Environment and Schedule Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.
