About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President of Leasing to spearhead and implement leasing strategies across its retail real estate portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a national team of leasing professionals, developing asset-specific leasing strategies, and leveraging a strong network of national retailers and brokers to source and execute leases. This role is pivotal in driving portfolio value, maximizing occupancy, and directly impacting the company's bottom line. The Senior Vice President of Leasing will also be tasked with recruiting, mentoring, and managing the internal leasing team, as well as overseeing the selection and management of third-party leasing brokerage teams. A key aspect of the position is to ensure that leasing activities are in alignment with property business plans and to assist the investments team during the due diligence process. Applicants for the Senior Vice President of Leasing position at the company should have a minimum of 8-12 years' of experience in commercial real estate leasing, with a specific focus on retail assets. A background in a private equity firm, REIT, or top-tier institutional developer is highly preferred. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record of closing deals with major national and regional retail tenants, a deep understanding of retail market trends, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for underwriting lease economics. The ideal candidate will be passionate about team management and development, and familiarity with generative AI tools is a plus.
