- Provide individual, group, family, couples, and other therapeutic services in a variety of settings based on client needs and treatment goals.
- Complete intake screenings, assessments, and comprehensive evaluations within required regulatory and organizational timeframes.
- Assess, diagnose, and document mental health and/or substance use disorders based on clinical findings and established diagnostic criteria.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans that reflect client needs, strengths, and progress.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities to support recovery and wellness.
- Participate in clinical staffing, treatment team meetings, and case consultations, providing feedback and recommendations as appropriate.
- Meet department-specific Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure services are authorized and documentation requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards.
- Ensure treatment notes, assessments, and service documentation align with treatment plans and required timelines.
- Correct documentation deficiencies within designated timeframes.
- Assist clients through transitions of care and complete discharge summaries, transition plans, and related correspondence.
- Respond to and manage crisis situations, coordinating emergency services when necessary.
- Facilitate specialty services, including trauma-informed therapy, co-occurring disorder treatment, psychoeducation, and other clinically appropriate interventions.
- Provide clinical consultation and guidance to treatment team members as needed.
- Assist with professional and clinical supervision of trainees or staff when qualified and authorized.
- Represent the organization professionally within the community and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and stakeholders.
- Complete all required training and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Support organizational goals, initiatives, and quality improvement efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field required.
- Current professional licensure in the state of practice required.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent clinical licensure required.
- Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment services preferred.
- Experience conducting assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions preferred.
- Must be willing to obtain licensure in additional states as needed.
- Must be comfortable providing telehealth services; training will be provided.
- Experience facilitating individual, family, group, and crisis intervention services preferred.
- Current LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent professional clinical license in the applicable state of practice required.
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance required.
- First Aid certification required within three (3) months of employment and maintained thereafter.
- CPR certification required within three (3) months of employment and maintained thereafter.
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Thorough knowledge of rehabilitation methods, treatment planning, case management, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
- Understanding of challenges commonly experienced by individuals with behavioral health conditions.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, ethical standards, and court procedures related to behavioral healthcare.
- Familiarity with supervisory and training practices within behavioral health settings.
- Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate clinical services and treatment programs.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate clinical documentation and reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective therapeutic relationships in person, by telephone, and through telehealth platforms.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary treatment teams.
- Commitment to ethical practice, professional development, and culturally responsive care.
- Ability to follow direction, accept supervision, and adapt to changing clinical needs.

- Successful completion of background screening, including criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks.
- Completion of New Hire Orientation upon hire.
- Completion of all required training, including Relias training, upon hire and annually thereafter.
- Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of automobile insurance.
- First Aid certification within three (3) months of employment and maintained upon renewal.
- CPR certification within three (3) months of employment and maintained upon renewal.
- Completion of Behavioral Management training within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class:
- CPI for Residential Programs
- Peaceful Intervention or Verbal De-escalation for Outpatient Programs
- Demonstrate understanding of Collaborative Service Goals (CSGs) within thirty (30) days of employment.
- Achievement of thirty-six (36) hours of training within a two-year period in accordance with 9 CSR 10-7.110 E 1.
- ASAM Programs Only: Achievement of fifty (50) hours of training annually.
- Growth and Development Form completion within thirty (30) days of employment (CPRC only).
- Privileging and Credentialing Form completion within thirty (30) days of employment (CPRC only).
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations applicable to assigned programs.
- Provide copies of all applicable certifications and licenses.
- For school-based services programs, must be available to provide services during school operating hours.
- Ability to perform sedentary work, including sitting for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms for typing, documentation, and electronic health record management.
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift materials weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to respond appropriately during crisis situations and emergency interventions.
- Visual ability to read documents and work on computer screens for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through telehealth platforms.
- Sedentary work may require occasional walking or standing; all other sedentary work criteria apply.
