Senior Director, Veterinary Clinic Operations, Community Medicine - East

$158k - $170k
Full-time

ASPCA

Summary:

The Senior Director of Veterinary Clinic Operations (SDO) oversees operations for Community Medicine’s Eastern Region, a complex and growing veterinary medical program with locations in New York, NY and Miami, FL. This is a fast-paced, challenging and exciting role that requires strong people leadership experience, including the ability to achieve goals through effective collaboration, change leadership and staff development.

Who We Are:

Have you ever wondered what happens to cats and dogs whose owners are unable to afford veterinary care? We have. The ASPCA’s Community Medicine (CM) team provides expert veterinary care to support the welfare of animals and their people through our stationary and mobile veterinary clinics, serving the most underserved communities in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. We help pet owners overcome barriers to care, bringing quality services directly to the communities that need us most and partially or fully subsidizing the cost of basic and preventive care. CM treats people and pets with dignity and respect, assisting pet owners in making informed decisions about their pets’ health and wellbeing regardless of their financial circumstances. When you come to work at the ASPCA, you join a team of over 1,000 dedicated colleagues with deep knowledge, skills, and passion for the animals we serve.

What You’ll Do:

As a key member of the Regional Management Team, you will work closely with veterinary medical leadership to ensure CM programs in your region function at a high level with top-performing teams, outstanding animal care and superb client experience. The SDO helps inform CM’s national strategy and executes it throughout the region.

The Senior Director of Veterinary Clinic Operations – East, reports directly to the Vice President, Community Medicine, and has five direct reports.

Where and When You’ll Work:

This full-time hybrid position supports program locations in New York and Miami, FL. This is a hybrid position, and will require 3+ days per week commuting to CM clinic locations throughout New York City, with the ability to work from a home office when not on-site. While structured as a 5-day work-week, responsibilities may occasionally require early morning, evening or weekend availability. Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% annually, as needed, especially to Miami, FL.

What You’ll Get:

Compensation

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, training, experience, location, business needs, internal equity, market demands or budgeted amount for the role. The target hiring range is for new hire offers only, and staff compensation may increase beyond the maximum hiring range based on performance over time. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. The expected hiring salary range for this role is set forth below and may be modified in the future.

  • The target hiring range for this role is $158,000 - $170,000 annually
