Pay rate: $30-36

Schedule: Monday-Friday business hours

This is a full-time, in-office position during the initial four-month training period , with the opportunity for some remote work once training has been completed.

Must be able to commute to our Seattle office reliably.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant / Billing Specialist manages the invoicing and collections process while supporting broader corporate accounting functions. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and manage past-due accounts while maintaining positive customer relationships
• Ensure receipts are accurately applied and reconciled
• Research and release service and supply holds in a timely manner
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, account balances, and billing discrepancies
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses for senior management
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Maintenance Contracts, and other internal departments to resolve issues and support business operations
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP
• Highly self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Exceptional attention to detail is essential, as this position is responsible for complex billing processes
