Order Picker/Container Unloader – 2nd Shift

We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our warehouse team as an Order Picker/Container Unloader. This position involves using a lift truck to reach heights of up to 30 feet to pick and handle inventory. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and lifting products weighing 20-30 lbs. You will also play a crucial role in our operations by unloading trucks and preparing products for order picking. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a lift truck to retrieve products from elevated storage locations.
• Pick and prepare orders efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure inventory is organized and maintained.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing harnesses while on the lift.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Unload trucks filled with boxed lighting fixtures, which may contain up to 2,000 fixtures per truck.
• Work quickly and efficiently to meet unloading goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing a harness and operating a lift truck to pick products from heights of up to 30 feet.
• Assist with order picking after initial training, which involves reaching and handling products weighing between 20-30 lbs.
• Follow company policies, including placing personal cell phones in your car during your shift and avoiding phone use while working.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or order picking preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift, tow motor, or order picker is a plus, but not required.
• Must be comfortable working at heights (up to 30 feet).
• Ability to work in varying temperatures; buildings can be around 53°F in winter and warmer in summer.
• Physical ability to lift and move products, including working at heights and handling items up to 30 lbs.
• Strong work ethic with a focus on speed and accuracy.
• Comfortable working at heights and using safety equipment.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Prior warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
