Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Inpatient Vascular Surgery The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive care for vascular surgery patients. Positions are located at Ross Heart Hospital (0353). Scope of Position The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing health‑care services to patients within the parameters of a standard care or supervisory agreement with an attending physician. The APP collaborates with physicians and other clinicians to deliver a full scope of patient care, focusing on preventive health and the management of acute and/or stable chronic conditions. Services performed are those specifically authorized by the credentialing body and certifying organization that issues the practitioner’s license. Position Summary The APP will deliver health‑care services in partnership with licensed physicians. Responsibilities include care during acute and chronic phases of illness, patient education, counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention, and referral to other providers and community resources when appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing Master of Science Degree in Nursing 0 years of relevant experience required; Acute‑Care NP preferred 0–2 years of vascular surgery experience preferred OR Graduate of a PA‑C program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination recognized by the National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA‑C 0 years of relevant experience required; 0–2 years of vascular surgery experience preferred Career Roadmap FUNCTION: Advanced Practice SUBFUNCTION: Advanced Practice Provider CAREER BAND: Individual Contributor – Clinical

Additional Information Inpatient pre‑ and post‑surgical management of vascular surgery patients, including consults, admissions, discharges, and daily rounding with a multidisciplinary team. Scheduling: Four 10‑hour shifts with one Saturday per month. Time: 5:30 am–3:30 pm. Location: Ross Heart Hospital (0353) Position Type: Regular Scheduled Hours: 40 Shift: First Shift Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
