Production Coordinator

Job TitleUnder immediate supervision, performs semi-skilled maintenance, oversees crew in the field and does related work as required.Examples of DutiesSupervises and participates in the work of unskilled and semi-skilled workers, Vehicle Operators and Sr. Equipment Operators. Oversees large crews in the collection of brush, leaves and bulky items. Provides instruction to crews, makes and adjusts assignments and inspects work in progress. Does minor vehicle and equipment repairs in the field and provides daily inspections and maintenance of a large number of vehicles. Maintains vehicle records and requisitions necessary parts and materials. Prepares reports, trains and instructs personnel, assist with evaluations and disciplinary actions.Typical QualificationsEducation and Experience: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and considerable experience in semi-skilled maintenance and operation of motorized vehicles and equipment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: General knowledge of principles and practices of operations and servicing trucks and related equipment; general knowledge of the occupational hazards involved and the safety precautions necessary to the proper operations of various vehicles and equipment. Ability to follow oral and written directions; mechanical aptitude, ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment; ability to assign and supervise the work of others and the ability to prepare simple reports.
