Hispanic Services Program Assistant

Are you a positive and friendly individual who enjoys helping others? We are seeking a friendly, bilingual, and organized individual to join the Hispanic Services Department at the Main Library. This position works as part of a team and provides support for programs and services offered throughout the library district. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively interact with Spanish-speaking individuals of varying ages and backgrounds. In this role you will: Support the day-to-day activities of the Hispanic Services Department, including on-site and off-site program preparation, set-up and clean‑up, errands, and other departmental tasks. Perform clerical and administrative duties related to program agreements, marketing, and data entry. Translate written and verbal information between Spanish and English, as needed. Coordinate technology support for in‑person and virtual programs. Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Must be detail‑oriented with good organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Bilingual English/Spanish skills required. Must successfully complete a language skills test at the proficiency level. Customer service experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and a safe driving record. 28 hours per week – combination of days, nights, and weekend hours.
