About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Toxicology to lead the strategic and scientific direction of preclinical drug development. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to in vivo pharmacology, efficacy, toxicology, and ADME/PK, with a focus on advancing early-stage therapeutic candidates from discovery through IND filing and into early clinical trials. This role requires a visionary leader with a PhD in a relevant discipline, at least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, and a proven track record in both small molecule and biologics development. The Vice President will be expected to ensure compliance with GLP standards, manage regulatory interactions, and build and mentor high-performing teams. Applicants for the Vice President of Toxicology position at the company should have a deep understanding of GLP/GMP regulations, and experience in preparing and presenting IND filings. The role demands an individual with exceptional scientific judgment, communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functionally. A strong background in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex portfolios in a fast-paced R&D environment is essential. The ideal candidate will have previous senior leadership or executive experience, be adept at managing relationships with CROs, and be committed to maintaining a hands-on scientific engagement while leading a large organization.
