Allied Technician - Respiratory Therapist

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to providing high-quality care to both adults and children in an intensive care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Float as needed between similar units to meet facility requirements.
• Work weekends and holidays as required, specifically every other weekend.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions.
• Ensure the proper functioning of respiratory equipment and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Current RRT licensure required.
• Experience working with pediatric and adult patients in an ICU setting.
• Comfortable floating between units as needed to accommodate patient care requirements.
• Must adhere to a maximum of 4 days of time-off requests (RTO) within the contract period, excluding holidays.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time position with a commitment to working night shifts (3x12-hour shifts), including weekends and holidays, as necessary.
• Local applicants within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for this role.
• Candidates must be willing to comply with the return staff policy, which requires a minimum 1-year absence to return as a traveler.
• The system has a limitation of 2 contracts per traveler, with a mandatory 6-month absence before reapplying after the maximum number of contracts.

Equipment and Documentation

• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.
• Wear solid black or a black-and-white scrub color as per facility policy.
