We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing education and high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits. As a valued member of our team, you will work closely with the dentists and other staff to deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental evaluations with iTero scans, child and adult prophys, SRPs and polishing/flossing teeth.
- Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical history and conducting preliminary assessments including oral cancer screenings.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist in the management of patient records, including medical records and medical imaging documentation.
- Utilize dental software for scheduling, record-keeping, and patient management.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
- Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry practices.
- Familiarity with dental office procedures, including iTero scanning.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while providing excellent patient care.
