AP Specialist

Job Full Description

We are seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist for a manufacturing company in Littleton, MA. This role requires strong knowledge of accounting practices and the ability to collaborate effectively to support the organization's financial health by ensuring invoices and obligations are processed accurately and within established timeframes.

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
• Processing due invoices for payments
• Reviewing and resolving issues with financial and operational reports
• Ensuring the account payable team complies with the terms and conditions set out in the contract
• Working on monthly and quarterly close processes
• Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Developing and maintaining working knowledge of all procedures, policies and standard operating procedures
• General office administration work - assisting with supplies, mail etc.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in accounting or similar roles
• Data entry skills and interest in numbers
• Competence in financial and bookkeeping software
• Attention to detail
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe .PDF etc

Work Schedule: M-F, 8:30-5:00

This is a temporary position with opportunity to become permanent. (No confirmed end date)

Pay Rate: $25-$27/hr
