MRP Planner

We're seeking an experienced MRP Planner to drive planning excellence within our facility. You'll be the critical link between production, engineering, procurement, and order management—ensuring materials, resources, and capacities align seamlessly with customer delivery commitments. This role offers the opportunity to optimize supply chain operations, solve complex scheduling challenges, and make a direct impact on customer satisfaction in a dynamic, MRP-driven environment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain production plans aligned with customer need dates, forecasts, and available resourcesProcess daily MRP/DRP messages, create and release work orders after clearing material shortagesSchedule new sales orders by assessing material and capacity availabilityCoordinate with cross-functional teams to identify production requirements and potential bottlenecksMonitor material availability and work with Procurement to expedite critical items and prevent disruptionsManage expedite/defer/cancel requests and communicate updates to order management and customersEvaluate overdue orders, aging work orders, and adjust schedules as necessaryIdentify supply chain risks proactively and collaborate with Procurement and Sourcing to eliminate themEnsure work order plans comply with customer-specific quality plans and Third Party Inspection (TPI) requirementsCollaborate with engineering to incorporate ECN changes into production schedulesProvide regular planning metrics reports to management and recommend process improvements to reduce lead timesMaintain compliance with all HSE policies, quality standards, and corporate governance requirementsSkills and Education2-4+ years of planning/scheduling experience in an MRP-driven manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with MRP/ERP systemsSolid understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) principlesStrong communication skills with ability to engage effectively across all organizational levelsIntermediate Excel proficiency plus MS Word and Outlook skillsProven organizational, project management, and leadership capabilitiesAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field from an accredited universityProfessional certifications: CPP, APICS CSCP, APICS CPIM, or Sourcing CertificateKnowledge of Notification Management, Work Order Management, and Maintenance planning processesTravel: Up to 10% domestic and potentially international travel#LI-KP1 Weatherford is a leading global energy services company.
