Sr Production Planner

Houston, TX | Full-Time | $85,000–$95,000 + Bonus Join a growing manufacturing organization supporting complex engineered products for industrial and mission-critical applications. We're seeking an experienced Sr. Production Planner who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and has a strong background in production scheduling, MRP, and cross-functional coordination. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments. Create, release, and manage production work orders. Analyze MRP outputs, identify shortages, and coordinate material availability. Verify BOMs, routings, engineering changes, and production readiness. Partner with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, and Project teams to resolve scheduling and material constraints. Monitor production progress, prioritize work orders, and communicate recovery plans when needed. Support ERP data integrity, planning process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor and support junior planners as needed. Qualifications 5+ years of production planning or manufacturing planning experience. Experience in fabrication, industrial manufacturing, engineer-to-order, or custom manufacturing environments. Strong ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor, Infor LN, or similar). Experience with production scheduling, work order management, BOMs, routings, capacity planning, and shortage resolution.
