Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a night shift schedule. Travelers will be expected to fulfill holiday requirements, including working two of three upcoming major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. If the contract spans only two of these holidays, one holiday shift will be required. Please note that more than one holiday off cannot be requested.

Schedule Requirements

• Night shift: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekends as needed (likely every other weekend)
• Floating to all Medical-Surgical floors and potentially Rehabilitation; may assist in OB as needed

Unit Information

The position will primarily involve caring for a diverse range of patients including:

• Stable open heart surgery patients transferred from ICU
• Patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis
• Patients with cardiac diseases and strokes, with close monitoring and education provided by program coordinators
• Joint replacements and observation care

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with EPIC charting system is essential
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off

Patient Care Responsibilities

Candidates will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients, including:

• Monitoring and managing cardiac telemetry
• Administering medications and blood products
• Caring for patients with respiratory issues and utilizing BiPAP/CPAP
• Managing feeding tubes, central lines, and critical care needs
