Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician / Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting a safe work environment.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery.Diagnose issues involving motors, VFDs, PLCs, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic components.Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical and mechanical equipment.Complete maintenance documentation and work orders.Support production teams during equipment failures and planned shutdowns.Follow safety requirements including Lockout/Tagout procedures.Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.Diagnose and repair production equipment, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and motors.Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.Complete scheduled PMs to maximize equipment reliability and reduce downtime.Inspect machinery for wear and potential failures.Repair and maintain valves, cylinders, pumps, compressors, and associated components.Troubleshoot pressure-related system issues.Fabricate replacement components as needed.Perform welding repairs on production equipment and plant infrastructure.Read and interpret schematics, equipment manuals, drawings, and repair instructions.Essential SkillsElectrical troubleshootingMechanical troubleshootingPreventive maintenanceUnderstanding of pneumatics and hydraulicsBlueprint readingAdditional Skills & QualificationsTechnical school certificate, associate degree, or trade certification preferredExperience in manufacturing, heavy industrial, building materials, steel, paper, lumber, food processing, or similar environmentsAbility to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shiftsAbility to safely lift up to 75 poundsStrong understanding of OSHA and safety regulationsWelding certifications are a plusElectrical certifications are a plusMulti-craft maintenance experience preferredWhy Work Here?Enjoy competitive hourly pay and overtime opportunities in a stable manufacturing environment. You will experience exposure to heat, dust, noise, and moving machinery. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors depending on equipment location, requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting. You must be able to lift up to 50-75 pounds. Rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime may be required. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
