Job Title:

Accounting Manager (For In House Work. We are not interested in outsourcing our books.) - This role is the Manager of the Accounting for our firm. Not the Manager of other Accountants.

 

Job Description

You will be responsible for:

 

• Monthly Reconciliations of over a dozen projects and several affiliated entities.
• Review and management of all invoices owed across all projects
• Assisting in the review and payment of construction draws
• Preparing the financials for all our development projects and affiliated entities
• Ensuring that all necessary information is provided to the tax preparer to ensure on-time filing
• Managing and paying loans & mortgages
• Managing project cash flow and communicating with management about potential cash needs and concerns
• Monitor partnership bank accounts to confirm receipt of partner capital contributions and follow up promptly on any outstanding funds.
• Serve as the primary contact for partners regarding equity balances, contribution schedules, and partnership financial projections.
• Reconcile all partnership bank and financial accounts by the 15th of each month in preparation for monthly partner update calls .
• Support monthly partner meetings by preparing and presenting clear financial summaries, capital account updates, and key performance metrics.
• Coordinate with the outsourced property management company to ensure financial statements are accurate, expenses are properly classified, and property budgets remain realistic and aligned with project goals.
• Prepare and compile financial statements, supporting schedules, and documentation for loan applications and lender reporting requirements.

 

As well as many other tasks.

 

The most important aspect of this position is proactivity. There is a lot of freedom in this role, and it is essential to have someone who can create their own plan and structure. It is key that you are inquisitive, learn quickly, and take initiative in your work. The right person for this position will be highly motivated, practice extreme ownership in all they do, be well organized, be detail oriented, and be humble and teachable.

 

Compensation:

This position will have an annual salary of $110,000.
