Job Purpose & Description The primary purpose of this position is to grow Youth (Grades 6-12) in Christ by unleashing youth to experience God, serve others, and to love one another. Summary of Responsibilities The Youth Minister will develop a vision and mission for youth ministry, centered around transformational discipleship and a relational volunteer team. The Youth Minister will create a strategy and methods, in alignment with the mission, to provide intentional programing on a weekly basis, including youth worship and small group opportunities, as well as a rhythm of events that aim to foster spiritual formation, community, and fun. These events can look like but are not limited to: mission trips, youth camps, retreats, etc. The Youth Minister will be responsible for developing and implementing a communication plan for youth, parents/guardians, and the broader church. Minimum Requirements Prior experience working in Youth Ministry or related field. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Masters of Divinity preferred) Abilities required Embrace our core value of Sacrificial Service lived out in a team-based approach to ministry, servant leadership, and volunteer engagement. Benefits include: 4 weeks of vacation per year; 1 sick day per month with up to 30 days of accumulation; a retirement contribution; health insurance; and sabbatical/renewal leave after 3 years.
