This business is comprised of the Jordan Valve, Low Flow, Steriflow, Steriflow Food & Beverage, Marwin, Hex, and Bestobell product lines.The Material Handler will report directly to Richards’ Materials Manager.He or she will be responsible for the following:Correctly identify, pick, and move castings, machined parts, and/or barstock to the appropriate staging areas or machine centers in a timely and efficient mannerVerify the accuracy of sawed dimensions and ensure pulled part quantities match router specifications and blueprint dimensions.Confirm that materials meet required industry specifications as outlined in the router.Operate and maintain the saws to ensure proper working conditions and optimal performance.Accurately perform inventory transactions using the AS400 operating system to maintain inventory integrity.Maintain clean, safe, and organized saw areas on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.Cycle counting inventory on a monthly basis.Hydrotesting of castings for porosity purposes.Multitasking between 3 saws, picking castings/machined parts, hydrotesting, and cycle counting.Deliver materials throughout the facility using forklifts, dollies, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.Qualifications Include:High school diploma or equivalentForklift licenseCapable of handling 50 lb. to 200 lb. valve bodies and bar stock with the assistance of hand trucks, lifts, conveyors, and hoistsAbility to stand for long periods up to eight hours or more at a timeMust be able to multitask and organize the day’s tasksAbility to work weekends and overtime when scheduledMust adhere to all safety policies including wearing all required personal protective equipment while in shop areaPersonal Characteristics:Strong work ethicCalm and resilientOrganized and detail-orientedMotivated and proactiveMultitaskerDisciplinedCommitted to Continuous ImprovementOutstanding Problem SolverAdaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic work environmentWhy would this role be exciting for me?Richards is a profitable, thriving company that’s investing for growth - > career development is important for usThis is an opportunity to join a talented, hard-working team that’s pushing itself to be the best it can beWe give back to the community through philanthropy and community serviceRichards Industrials firmly supports the principle and philosophy of equal opportunity for all individuals.
