Resource Development AmeriCorps VISTA

Position Description

As the Resource Development VISTA with Habitat for Humanity in Fond du Lac, you will help increase the organization's capacity to build more homes for people in Fond du Lac County. You will focus on three areas of program development:

• VOLUNTEERS: After reviewing the organization’s history, you will research best practices and then create and implement a plan to increase volunteer recruitment and retention.
• FUNDRAISING: Along with the executive director you will plan and launch a fundraising campaign which may include traditional appeals, events, and social media.
• COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Connect with the community to build awareness and support for Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin. Create outreach strategies to support volunteer recruitment and fundraising efforts.

• Living stipend: $957 paid bi-weekly (approximately $24,800/year)
• Education Award: $7,395 (upon successful completion of service year)
• 30-hour work week
• hybrid schedule (after the first month)
• $200/month housing stipend (paid to landlord or mortgage holder)
