SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Essential Role Responsibilities:

Our Senior Accountant is a very important part of our organization - you will report to our Controller and have supervisory responsibilities and oversight over a small, yet reliable team. Here's what we are looking for in a strong candidate:

• You will need to have Inventory/Asset Accounting.
• Must have foreign currency experience. 
• You will have to experience with a FULL month-end close.
• The successful Senior Accountant will need to have consolidation reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• We are a growing company, therefore, possessing experience with a company of 50+ employees is necessary.
• Experience with account reconciliations.
• Experience with multiple currencies is important as we are a global organization.
• You must have experience maintaining and completing accurate accounting records.
• You will need to have experience preparing journal entries and providing general ledger reporting along with analysis.
• An eye for detail and deadlines ensuring accounting records are accurate and complete with ledgers closed in a timely manner.
• You need to have created, analyzed and presented monthly financial and operational reporting to Leadership.
• Experience overseeing and managing Profit & Loss as well as Balance Sheets preparation/reporting.
• You will have to had experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• You have to have experience reconciling and monitoring Balance Sheets, including Bank Reconciliations, Inventory, Asset and Deferred Revenue.
• Are you experienced coordinating month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes? You will have to have this experience.
• You should have and will need to have experience creating month-end journal entries.
• Reporting is essential and you will have to have experience reporting month-end results into our consolidation software.
• Experience with reconciling and paying intercompany accounts is what we're after here.
• Maintaining an Asset Management and Inventory Management is essential for success in this role.
• Please tell us about your experience reporting sales tax reporting as having this experience is needed for this role.
• You should have experience supporting audit and tax returns with external tax preparers.

Required Skills & Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related degree is strongly preferred.
• At least seven (7) years of work experience as an Accountant.
• You must possess a good understanding of Standard Accounting rules and regulations.
• You must be able to create journal entries and you are familiar with standard accounting procedures.
• QuickBooks experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with a Sales AND Service organization (Inventory Accounting is very important in this role).
• Sales Tax experience is a plus and is preferred.
• Proficient with Accounting Software, Excel/Spreadsheets, Databases and Data Extraction.
• Must be self-motivated and a team player (let's get it done together)!
• Strong organization skills and close attention to details are essential for success.
• Extremely good at written and verbal communication.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
