Registered Nurse NICU (36 Day/Night rotation)

NICU Registered Nurse Position

Position: Registered Nurse

Location: NICU

Schedule: 36 Day/Night rotation every 3rd weekend required

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional nursing care in the NICU, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC Brighton nursing organization
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects

Job Requirements:

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
• Certification in basic life support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire (offered during orientation)
• Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advance Certification required within 8 weeks of hire.
• 1 year experience NICU required
• Experience with electronic health record preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language a plus.

Compensation Range: $39.80- $93.69

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
